Overview: Fundamental Economist role in a leading Asset Management company. The role is analyst level and is an ideal second job for a post graduate economist. You will be an original thinker with a first class degree from a top 5 University and a masters in economics. Combined with this you will have worked as a junior economist in an asset manager, investment Bank or Research House. Our client is looking to hire an individual that has original ideas and is looking to learn from some of the very finest Fundamental economists in the market. You will be working as a junior in the research team with scope to grow and become a key member of the team.
Company: Our client is a successful Asset Management company based in West London
Role: Provide fundamental economic analysis on and insights into developed and emerging market economies, currencies and their return drivers on an ad-hoc and regular basis. Develop and maintain databases Tracking interest and inflation rates across the world, official reserves, etc Produce analysis to support the team Develop fundamental insights into the nature of alpha and beta returns in currency markets Become conversant with the companys research and statistical tools In time be able to develop successful investment strategies Provide regular written reports for the business.
Skills required: First Class Economics degree from a Top 5 UK University or overseas equivalent Masters in Economics from a leading University Experience at analyst level as a Fundamental Economist at an IB, Asset Manager or Research Company An original thinker
